I got a call from the nurse who is supervising the NP-001 trials in Centralia this morning. She is starting the process of getting mom involved in the trial through their ALS tratment center! She will be contacting mom's neurologist at UW to confirm her diagnosis and get her patient information. We will (eventually) go to their facility to meet everyone and sign the piles of paperwork that I imagine goes with an unverified drug in the trial phase. If we're ok with the paperwork she'll have a physical and go through testing to ensure she is fit for the study. Then we're off. Keeping hopeful that we will qualify and she will get the real drug. She has a 2/3 chance of getting at least low dose drug over the placebo.
